Brenda Jean Andrews, 76, of Springfield MO passed away on June 23, 2022, surrounded by family and loved ones. She was the only child to Roy Edward Andrews and Phyllis Mae Bennet (Andrews) McAuley born on November 6, 1945.  She grew up in St. Louis MO but enjoyed spending her summers with family in Thayer MO. She attended Southwest Missouri State university after graduating from Roosevelt High School in St. Louis in 1963.

She was employed at Southwestern Bell Telephone until her retirement in 1990 from their St. Louis office. During her time with Southwestern Bell, she made many lifelong friends who she remained close to up to her final days. After her early retirement, she moved back to Springfield MO, a city she always called home. She enjoyed spending time at the lake and taking many long overdue vacations with friends to various places around the world. Just a few of her many joys in life were her grandchildren, cheering for the SMSU Bears, hosting friends and family at her lake home on Table Rock Lake and making trips to local casinos with her friends. She had a love for DIY projects and found such pleasure in blessing others with her craftsmanship and great attention to detail. She had such a generous heart, an endearing smile, and will be dearly missed by many.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her daughter Tiffany White and husband Ryan White, Highlandville, MO, and grandchildren Taylor Haldoupis, Reece White, and Morgan White, as well as other relatives and dear friends. Her family extends a special thank you to so many friends and neighbors who have been so thoughtful and caring during her final days—your generosity of time and support will always be a blessing to her and her family.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel, 1947 E. Seminole, Springfield, MO. In In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the charity of your choice.
