Brad Walter Lyons, 58, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2019.  He was born November 28, 1960 in Manhasset, New York.  When he was eleven years old, he moved to Springfield, Missouri where he spent the rest of his life.

Brad began his career in food service as a dishwasher and worked his way up, holding various titles in the Hammons Corporation for nearly 30 years. Most notably Brad served as Executive Chef of the Tower Club for 26 years.  In that time he cooked for two presidents, many famous athletes, and mentored four generations of kitchen staff.

When he wasn't in the kitchen, you could find Brad playing a round of golf, watching football, spending time with family and friends or searching for a midnight snack. He never met a Little Debbie cake he didn't like.

He is preceded in death by his parents William (Bill) and Dorothy Lyons, brother Bill Lyons, sister Dorothy Strick, and his beloved dog Pansy.  He is survived by his wife Sandra Albert, daughter Bonnie Lyons, son Gus Lyons (Danielle), grandson Hudson, sister Jill Sirotnak (Mike), brother Glenn Lyons, numerous nieces and nephews, and his dog Bella.

Brad will be remembered for his big heart and larger than life personality. He will be greatly missed.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. with a celebration of life following on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
