Bonnie June Schultz, 87, Springfield, was called home to the Lord on Thursday, December 12, 2013, in Springfield, Mo. She was born on June 23, 1926, in Morgan, MO, to Otto and Bessie Peters. Bonnie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Bonnie married Lloyd Lanier Schultz on December 13, 1947. Bonnie and Lloyd settled in Springfield, MO., where they were members of the Trinity Lutheran Church family for more than six decades. Bonnie loved her church and her family, and she served all of them faithfully during her lifetime. Whether it was cooking a large meal, mending a torn piece of clothing, or babysitting, she was always willing to lend a helping hand. Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Lloyd; her parents; her brothers, Pete, Jerald, Jake, and Jim; and her son, Mark. Bonnie is survived by her son, Paul; daughter-in-law, Janice; two grandsons, Andrew and wife, Kamille, and Jeffrey; two granddaughters, Kathleen Gaither and husband, Josh, and Madalyn Breshears and husband, Adam; great-grandchildren, Abigail, Nora, Maggie, Anna, Sterling, and Corwin; her brother, Howard Peters and wife, Bonnie; sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Peters and Pauline Peters; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 17, 2013, at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor William R. Marler officiating. Burial will follow in Morgan Lutheran Cemetery, Morgan, Mo. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, December 16, 2013, in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. In lieu of flowers and gifts, the family requests memorial contributions to Trinity Lutheran Church, Springfield, Mo., for the Mark E. Schultz Memorial Scholarship Fund.
