Bonnie J. Petiford, 91, Springfield, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017 in the Fremont Memory Care.  She was born February 6, 1926 in Hartville, MO, the daughter of Walter and May Pyatt.

She worked until retirement at Guaranty Federal Savings and Loan Association.  Bonnie was quite active in King's Way UMC volunteering on many committee's over the 50 plus years she was a member.  She also enjoyed her time in the Sorelle Club.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard F. "Dick" Petiford and a daughter, Janice Sullins.

Bonnie is survived by two grandchildren, Sarah Sullins and Rebekah Schreckenghaust and her husband, Ryan; two great-grandchildren, Jackson and Camden Schreckenghaust; her son-in-law Steve Sullins; her niece Wanda Peabody and husband Ken; two step-sons, John and David Petiford; two step-daughters, Joy (Petiford) Robertson and Nancy (Petiford) Grayless; special friend, Tammy Stenberg; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 30, 2017 in King's Way United Methodist Church with a visitation to follow, under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel.  Inurnment will be in the King's Way Church Columbarium.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to King's Way UMC, 2401 South Lone Pine, Springfield, MO 65804.
