A kind, loving, and gentle heart was stilled as Jesus nestled her in his arms and carried her immortal soul to her heavenly home, there to be with him throughout all eternity. "Granbonnie", as she was called by her grandchildren and great grand children, was born October 21, 1929, and departed this life April 16, 2015. Bonnie is survived by Frank, her husband of 66 years, a son Doug and his wife Janet, Oldfield, grandson, Drew, wife Marci and 2 great grandchildren, Kylie and Asher; daughter Angela Casteel, Springfield, husband Troy, granddaughter Loren, and 2 grandsons, Nathan and Dylan; and sister, Donna Clark, Overland Park. She was extremely proud of all her family. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Ola Clark and infant brother Allen, Springfield. Bonnie accepted Christ as her personal savior at the age of 8 and was an active church member all of her life. She was a 1947 graduate of Senior High School, Springfield. As a teenager and an adult she played the piano for many groups including youth and adult choirs and Oak Grove Elementary School. She was a 41-year cancer survivor and Reach to Recovery volunteer as well as an active member of M.A.D.D. She enjoyed traveling and spent many wonderful retirement years taking trips and spending time with friends. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 2 pm in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 1 pm until the time of service. Interment will follow at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to The Baptist Home, Ozark.
