Bobby Joe Johnson departed this life on July 6, 2012 after a short illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred Hoosier and Joel Hancock; his first wife, Betty A. Johnson; his second wife, Dolly Johnson; a daughter Lorri M. Carter and a granddaughter, Shanessa Cunningham. He is survived by an aunt, Alberta Duncan and uncle, Robert Duncan; sister, Shirley Thomas and husband, Garnell; brother Glenn Renfro; seven children, Brenda Brown and husband, Anthony; Barbara Johnson; Bobbie Sue Barnett and husband, Bob; Kathryn Johnson; Joel Johnson; Cecil Johnson and Tony Hancock; twenty-eight grandchildren and seventy-three great-grandchildren; host of nieces and nephews and many friends, including a special friend, Charles Williams. Funeral services will be Friday, July 13, 2012 at 11:00 AM in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel with burial to follow at Missouri Veteran's Cemetery at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be from 10 AM until service time Friday in the funeral home.
