IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Blake Thomas
Southern
January 29, 1980 – April 8, 2024
It is with deep sadness that we announce, Blake Thomas Southern Sr., of Ozark, found eternal peace in God's presence on April 8, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.
Born January 29, 1980 to Gary and Margaret Southern in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was a man of profound faith, Blake was a devout traditional Catholic finding his deepest fulfillment and vocation in service of the Church. Blake served his country with pride as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, embodying the values of honor, courage, and commitment.
A man of many gifts and talents, Blake was a decorated veteran, a respected scoutmaster, and a faithful friend. His ability to share stories captivated the attention of all. He was a courageous defender, a steady rock in times of adversity, and a source of warmth and affection to those around him. Blake's presence was commanding, and his confidence and genuine nature earned him the trust and admiration of family, friends, and colleagues alike.
Blake cherished his role as a devoted son, brother, husband, and father. He shared an enduring connection with his high school sweetheart and wife, Lauren, and was a pillar of love and strength to their eight children; Madison, Blake Jr., James, Katherine, Nora, William, Elena, and Michael. His legacy of love, family, and community will live on in our hearts forever.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Lauren, their children, his mother, his brothers Craig Southern and Scott Southern, his in-laws Richard and Micki Struckhoff, numerous additional family members, and lifetime friends. Blake is preceded in death by his father, Gary Southern.
Remember Blake for his strength, unwavering love, and commitment to his family, friends, and faith. Blake leaves behind a profound impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was truly a titan among men, dreaming of empires as he built his own through love and integrity.
