Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Harland Blaine Myers, aged 61, due to complications from a stroke. A loving husband, devoted father, and cherished friend, he left us on September 3rd, surrounded by his family. He was born the son of Henry and Angie Myers on December 23rd, 1963, in Douglas, Arizona. He is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Angie Myers, and his sisters Lucy Myers and Lori Mckenzie. He is survived by his wife, Terri Myers, son Tanner Myers, daughter Rae Myers, sister Linda Meyer, and his brothers David and Henry Myers.

His father, Henry Myers, taught him how to drive a tractor trailer truck at a young age, which led to a very successful truck driving career for many years. He was a skilled landscaper and stone mason and had a passion for designing and building all his works from scratch. He finished his working years with Greene County.

Blaine "Blink" Myers, enjoyed fishing, floating the Niangua River, smoking meat on his custom-made smoker (anything BUT brisket), and family gatherings, particularly the 4th of July. He liked any excuse to play on his orange Kubota tractor, sitting in the breezeway talking with friends, family, and neighbors. Blaine loved music, especially Adele and George Strait, keeping up with current events, and strengthening his relationship with God.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 13th at 10am. At Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home in Springfield, MO. In lieu of flowers, please send flowers. Dad loved flowers.
