Blaine P. Garton, 90, passed away May 6, 2011 after an extended illness. Blaine or Pop, as his family called him, was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Garton. Blaine is survived by his son Michael Garton and his wife Janice; grandchildren Virginia Fenton and her husband Daniel; Michael Garton, Jr. and his wife Kim; and Zachary Garton and his wife Sabrina. He is also survived by six great grandchildren, Casey Garton and his wife Sarah; Sam Gardner, Keatyn Garton, Madison Garton, Caylee Garton and Cash Garton; one sister-in-law Coleen Jordon, one brother-in-law Billy Lee Gelsheimer; and a niece Deborah Kanyo and husband Jim. Memorial services will be held Monday, May 16, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. at The Fremont, 1520 E. Bates, Springfield, MO.
