Billy Joe McGeorge, age 75 of Springfield, MO passed away at 1:37 p.m. March 16, 2016 at Mercy Hospital. He was born June 8, 1940 in Gilford, MO. Billy Joe was a loving son, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to us all.

He was preceded in death by his father Ralph McGeorge, mother Bernice Ginn McGeorge, and several siblings. Billy Joe is survived by brother, Kenneth Lee McGeorge, Louisburg, MO; sisters, Velma Irene Green, St. Joseph, MO and Betty Jean Murphy, Maryville, MO; daughter, Elizabeth Marie Lambert and husband Mike, Kirksville, MO; son, Randall C. McGeorge and wife Christina, Omaha, NE; daughter, Susan Jo Brookshire, Dallas, TX; son, Danny S. McGeorge, Olathe, KS; daughter, Julie Ann Wilhite, Philadelphia, PA; son, Robert Lowell McGeorge, Springfield, MO; grandchildren, Michelle Marie Lambert, Kirksville, MO, Mark Michael Lambert and wife Daette, Chicago, IL, Grant, Bryce and Blake McGeorge, Omaha, NE, Michael Brookshire and wife Bonnie, Haltom City, TX and Lindsey Brookshire and husband Luke, Keller TX; great-grandchildren, Katie Rose and Kenzie Dale Brookshire, Haltom City, TX and Hogan Francis Lambert, Chicago, IL.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 19, 2016 in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday, March 18, 2016 from 6 to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
