IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Billy "Bill"
Joe Stehle
December 16, 1927 – November 8, 2019
Billy "Bill" Joe Stehle, 91, passed away November 8, 2019.
The child of Joseph Stehle and Glessie (Derrick) Stehle, Bill was born in Lutie, Missouri on December 16, 1927. He attended Forsyth High School, and was a Mason, member of the Scottish Rite, and a member of the Abou Ben Adhem Shrine in Springfield, Missouri. He served in the military, in the Army from 1950 to 1952 as a Military Policeman in Europe during the Korean War. He worked for the Boeing Company in Kansas and returned to Missouri where he worked and retired from Zenith Electronics.
Throughout his life, Bill farmed on the same land that he grew up on, raising beef cattle. He enjoyed hosting the annual deer hunt at the farm. He will also be remembered for his love for hunting, farming, and traveling. He will be remembered for his ability to go anywhere and find someone he knew. And if he didn't know them, he'd befriend them by the end of their hour-long conversation, while his wife, or family waited patiently (or not so patiently) for him.
Bill was united in marriage to Joyce (McVicker) Stehle for 63 years. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Glessie Stehle, and by his sister Barbara Jean (Stehle) Wills. He is survived by his wife Joyce, daughter Linda Stephens, son-in-law Mark Stephens, grandchildren Kristin and Jonathan Stephens, his brother Neal Stehle and sister-in-law Alice, his sister Norma Strange, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
