Billie McCuan, age 95, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at The Medical Lodges in Neosho, MO. He was born on December 9, 1929, and lived a long life marked by dedication, service and love for his family.

Billie proudly served his country for a total of 20 years, first in the United States Navy for 4 years, where he met the love of his life, Gloria, and later in the United States Air Force for sixteen years. During his military career, he worked as an airplane mechanic, a role he fulfilled with skill, discipline and price.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Maxine and Betty; his beloved wife, Gloria: his daughter Lynn, his son Daniel and his nephew, Michael.

Billie was survived by three sisters-in-law- Joyce, Sharon, and Sandy and their children; his niece, Diane and her husband Dennis, along with their children and their nine grandchildren; his niece, Sharon and her husband Doug, their children and their three grandchildren, and his niece, Linda, and her children and their three grandchildren. He leaves behind a large and loving family who will cherish his memory and the quiet strength he brought to their lives.

Services with full military honors will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, December 12, at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at 5201 S. Southwood Rd. A reception will follow from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at the home of Marie and Cathy, located at 4674 W. University St., Springfield, Missouri 65802.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VA housing assistance programs, honoring Billie's lifelong commitment to supporting fellow veterans.

Billie will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
