Billie "Bill" Lee Beckley, 83, Springfield, MO passed away Monday, Nov. 10, 2014 in Cox South Hospital. He was born Feb. 6, 1931 in Cedar County Missouri to Lester and Bernice Beckley. Bill was united in marriage to Nellie Dee Jobe on Aug. 24, 1952. He retired as President with Farm Credit Services of the Springfield area. Bill was a deacon and a faithful member of Second Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter, Teresa Cox. Bill is survived by his wife, Dee, a daughter, Sandra Austin, Quincy, IL; a granddaughter, Dawn Cox- Hyde, three great-grandchildren, Teresa, Travis, and Amanda, two brothers, Harry L. Beckley, and Tom R. Beckley. Graveside services will be held 11AM Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014 in Greenwood Cemetery, Bolivar, MO. No visitation is scheduled, however friends may call after 4:00 PM Wednesday in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Second Baptist Missions, 3111 E. Battlefield, Springfield, MO 65804.
