Bill G. Sechler, 89, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2013 in Cox South. He was born on February 24, 1924 to The Reverend Errett C. and Clara Sparkman Sechler. His father was a former pastor of Central Christian Church. Bill was a 1942 graduate of Springfield Senior High. After graduating, he attended SMS. He also attended Jarrett Middle School where his daughter was a long time counselor. He worked at Holsum Bakery and later at the original O'Reilly Automotive store on Sherman Street, retiring in 1990 with 30 years service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Jewell Sechler, June 10, 2000 and wife Mary Jane Sechler, March 21, 2013. He is survived by his son, Mark Sechler, Springfield; daughters, Kathy Sechler, Springfield, and Karen Cook (Ron), Naples, Florida; Mother of his children, Mary McManus Allen; brother, Errett Sechler (Pat), Springfield; grandchildren, Sarah (Nick) Schofield, Ryan (Rosalee) Plymate, Stockton, MO; Tara Sullivan, Stacey Sullivan-Nipstad (Josh); Stan, Jake, Daniel, Joseph, and Sophia Sechler; and ten great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at 10:30am in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Visitation will follow the service. Burial will be in Maple Park Cemetery.
