Bill Peacock departed this life on December 28, 2012 after a battle with Alzheimer's disease. He was born in Mansfield, MO on July 11, 1934 an only child of Turner and Mabel (Newton) Peacock. During his early years he lived in Nixa, Humansville and Tescot, Kansas. After graduating from high school and one semester of college the family moved back to Nixa. He worked with his father learning the cheese making business, did carpentry and while spending two years in the Army he was so happy to have played baseball in Germany on Soldiers Field. In 1989, he retired after driving a truck for Kraft foods for 20 years. He was a member of Glendale Christian Church, a 55 year member of Abou Ben Adhem Shrine, the Scottish Rite 320, Eastern Star and Gate of the Temple Lodge #422. After retiring he spent much of his time playing golf and going to basketball and baseball games. Bill loved and was so proud of his family. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Peacock of the home; a daughter, Holly Henderson and husband Barry, Springfield; a son, Stacy Peacock and wife Nicky, Lees Summit, MO; three grandsons, Zach Peacock and wife Kelley, Lees Summit, Ethan Peacock, Fort Scott, KS and Aaron Henderson, Springfield; a granddaughter, Cara Henderson, Springfield; two step-sons, Kevin Fuller and wife Mickey, Springfield and Barry Fuller and wife Kim, Panhandle, TX; three step-grandsons, Trenton Fuller and wife Cortney, Amarillo, TX, Kale Fuller and wife Sarah, Springfield and Ross Fuller and fiancee, Brittany Cantrell; a step-granddaughter, Andrea Fuller, Canyon, TX and a great grandson, Jackson Kale Fuller, Springfield. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, Jauary 3, 2013 in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel with the Reverend Seth Wortman officiating. Burial will be in Missouri Veterans Cemetery at a later date. No visitation is planned. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Glendale Christian Church's Building Fund or Charity of your choice.
