Billy Dean Haslip, 77, of Springfield, passed away Monday, December 21, 2009. Bill was born in Ozark, Missouri to a family of ten children and was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Ona Haslip, brothers Verlin and Vernon Haslip, and sister Fern Lamb. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend Anna Louise Huffman Haslip, his children Michael and John Haslip, and Cheryl Underwood and his step children Brent Gibson, and Brenda Marino as well as his brothers Joe, and Ray Haslip, and sisters Wilma Allen, Zelma Kruger, Peggy Lawrence, and Betty Julian and a large extended family consisting of his grandchildren, a great grandchild, nieces, nephews and various spouses. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 31, 2009 in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, Missouri. under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2009 in the funeral home.
