Beulah May Blair Compton Mitchell Huffhines, of Springfield, went peacefully into the loving arms of her Savior on January 3, 2013. Beulah was born July 15, 1929 and raised in Strafford, MO, a daughter of Hubert and Glenna Blair. Beulah was a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved working in the yard with her flowers, studying the bible, and spending time with family and friends. After being a housewife and raising two daughters, Sheilla and Mary, she worked at Zenith and then retired from St. Johns (Mercy) Hospital. Beulah and her husband Skip have traveled extensively abroad and through many states. They have many cherished family and friends. She lived a full, blessed life. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Ailene Smith, husbands Harold Compton and Cliff Mitchell. She is survived by her husband Frank "Skip" Huffhines, siblings Iva Lee Schriener, and David Blair (Deanna), three daughters Sheilla Morris (Jerry), Mary Wollard (John), Kathy Bullock (Henry), grandchildren, Sheri Hewitt (Chris), David Morris (Danna), Kristy Harden (Dave), Jennifer White (Mike), Shelby Bullock, and Katie Bullock, and 9 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 11 am, Monday, January 7, 2013 at Immaculate Conception, 3555 S. Fremont Ave., Springfield. Burial will follow in Hazelwood Cemetary. Visitation will be from 2pm-4pm Sunday, January 6, 2013 at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, 1947 E. Seminole, Springfield.
