Betty Jo Waite aged 85, passed away after a long illness on December 24, 2017 while at the Maples Health Center. She was born March 1, 1932 to Everett and Lois Eisenhour, who both preceded her in death.
She had diverse life experiences; raising 5 children, owning a small cafe, Silverleaf Liquor Store, a ceramic business, breeding and selling different breeds of dogs, her oil paintings and retirement from St. John's Hospital (Mercy). Betty Jo loved God, children, animals and art. She cherished her memories of visiting the Holy Land.
She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and a sweet woman whose passion was helping others.
Beloved and survived by 4 daughters, 2 sons-in-law, Carol Rose Gee, Barbara (Junior) Gonzalez, Elaine Inmon, Laura (Kim) Wheeler, 1 sister Marcella Blackburn, 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Betty Jo was also preceded in death by her husband Gene Paul Waite, their son John Paul Waite, a brother Stephen Eisenhour, 2 sisters Thelma Spivey and Maxine Pickel.
Visitation will be Friday, January 5, 2018 from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home with interment at a later date in Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
