Betty Taylor, of Springfield, MO passed away Wednesday November 17, 2010 at home in her sleep. She was born June 11, 1929 to Raymie and Viola Ratliff. Betty was united in marriage to Dick Taylor July 31, 1954 to this union two children were born. She was a member of King's Way United Methodist Church. Surviving is her husband, Dick, a son Mark Taylor and wife, Kimber, a daughter, Lori, granddaughters, Kellee Stanford and husband, Kasey, Brianna Firestone and husband, Christopher, two step granddaughters, Ali and Cayman, a great- granddaughter, Jalee, a great-grandson, Chase Carter, one niece, Judy Asher and husband, Robert, one nephew, Robert Ratliff and wife, Michelle, several cousins in addition to many friends she dearly loved. Visitation will be from 7 to 8PM Sunday, November 21, 2010 in the Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel, Springfield, MO. Services will be at 2PM Monday November 22, 2010 in the Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Private interment will be held at a later date in Hazelwood Cemetery Springfield, Missouri. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Rogersville United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 244 Rogersville, MO 65742, where Betty played piano for more than 35 years. She was the greatest wife, mom, and granny anyone could ever ask for. She will be missed beyond words by her family and friends.
