Obituary

Betty Robinson, dedicated wife, mother of two and friend to many, passed away peacefully in Ft. Worth, TX on February 3, 2023 at the age of 87.

Betty was born on November 8, 1935 to John and Elizabeth Gruendler in St. Louis. Betty lived a family-filled upbringing as the youngest of 4. After graduating from Lindbergh High School in 1953, she went on to study business.

Betty married her love, Jack Robinson, in 1959 and had their first child, Vicki, in 1960. The young family transferred to Springfield in 1962 where their youngest daughter, Terry, was born a year later.

Betty was a devoted mother and fully embraced raising 2 young girls. She was a woman of faith and a longtime member of St. John's United Church of Christ where she served others on the building committee, in the Friendship Circle and sang in the choir.

After the death of her husband, Jack, in 1999, Betty moved to Grand Prairie, TX to be near her daughters and grandchildren. Betty became a passionate quilter and when she wasn't picking up the grandkids from school, she could be found in her kitchen cooking for the Thursday Lunch Bunch at The Woods United Methodist Church or sewing squares for the next Needles & Pins project.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband 0f 39 years, Jack, parents, a brother and 3 sisters. She is survived by 2 daughters and sons: Vicki Robinson & Robert Kavula; James & Terry (Robinson) Sweet; grandchildren Brandon Sweet; Madison (Sweet) & Seth Fuentes; sister-in-law Patricia Ferbet; brother-in-law Ron Robinson and many nieces and nephews.
