Obituary

Betty Jo Lovett Lamar, age 91, died peacefully on May 12, 2017, at Cox South Hospital after a stroke. Betty was born in Morrisville, MO on March 22, 1926, the daughter of E.J. ("Dude") Lovett and Murel Dixon Lovett.

Betty is survived by daughters, Donna and husband, Rick Presley of Overland Park, KS and Jan Heller of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Eric Heller of New York, NY, Mark Heller of Hollywood, CA, Allison Presley of Denver, CO and Alexis and husband, Brent Roth of Roeland Park, KS; great-grandson Elliot Roth (after a long, patient wait!); and many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd on April 15, 2007.

Betty was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she was very active in church activities. She was an avid card player, square dancer and most recently, a talented and much-envied bingo player at the Waterford Independent Living Facility. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor William R. Marler officiating on Tuesday, May 16, at 2:00 p.m., with a visitation at 1:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will be immediately following at Hazelwood Cemetery. Services will be under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel
