Betty Jo Kroutil, 85 of Springfield passed away Sunday, December 28, 2014 at her home. She was born February 22, 1929 in Red Top, Missouri to Barhan and Ora Mayfield Morris. Betty graduated from Pleasant Hope High School. She was united in marriage to Jimmie Kroutil on January 7, 1948. She retired from Springfield Public Schools after many years serving at the Glendale High School cafeteria. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers; Leo, Dale, Heber, Denzil, and Bernard Morris; and two sisters, Florene Holden and Geraldine Jefferies. She is survived by her husband, Jimmie; her son, Ricky; her ex daughter-in-law Beverly Faucett; two grandsons, Richard (Carrie) Kroutil and Mark Kroutil; five great-grandchildren, Keegan Kroutil, Tanner Kroutil, Gideon Kroutil, Grant Kroutil; and one great-granddaughter, Chloee Kroutil. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. in St. Agnes Cathedral. Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Michael McDevitt, celebrant, Burial will follow in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery in Karlin, Missouri, near Bolivar. Services are under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
