Obituary

Betty Sue Jenneman passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at Lakewood Assisted Living in Springfield, MO.

Sue was born December 22, 1922 in Springfield to Howard and Susie Anderson. She married W.C. Jenneman in 1946 in Springfield, MO.

Sue attended Drury and The University of Oklahoma and later worked as a technologist in a Springfield State Health lab. After marriage, they lived in Oklahoma and Kansas before moving to Centralia, Illinois where she was a longtime resident. Through the years, she was a member of Junior Women's Club, Girl Scout leader, and a longtime member of Meadow Woods Country Club. Sue was a devoted member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Centralia where she served on many committees and was especially active in the Ladies Guild. She also volunteered at the Red Cross blood bank. Sue had a love of reading, golf, traveling, knitting, playing bridge, and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter Christian (Chris) Jenneman; brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Helen Anderson; and granddaughter, Sarah Marie Hall.  Sue is survived by her daughter, Connie Sue Hall (Charlie) Erickson of Nixa, MO; and a son, Dr. Gary (Betty) Jenneman of Bartlesville, OK; grandchildren, Katie (Chris) Mostyn of Springfield, MO; Mary (Chaplain Ryan) Mills of Colorado Springs, CO; Lauren Jenneman of Fayetteville, AR; Jeff Jenneman of Houston, TX; and Kyle (Erica) Jenneman of Colorado Springs, CO; as well as, five great-granddaughters and a great-grandson.

Services will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, November 24 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Nixa, MO. Visitation will be held one hour before the service. Pastor Jarod Koenig and Chaplain Ryan Mills will be officiating. Interment will be held at 10:00 am, Monday at Hazelwood Cemetery in Springfield, MO.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Centralia, IL, Redeemer Lutheran Church in Nixa, MO, or the Lakewood Assisted Living activities fund where mom was loved by the caregivers. Gorman-Scharpf in Springfield, MO is taking care of memorial arrangements.
