Betty Lou Norris, 89, Springfield, passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2018 in Glendale Gardens Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born December 26, 1928 in Willard, MO, the daughter of Roy and Rhoda Whalin (Goodin).

Betty worked as a waitress at the Cat and The Fiddle Restaurant in the 1950's and retired from Lily Tulip. She had a smile that could light up a room and the sweetest personality around. Betty was kind-hearted, warm and lived her life with dignity and grace. She had many friends, a family that she loved and adored, who loved her back with all their hearts. Betty will be greatly missed by all.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Leon Norris.
Betty is survived by two sons, Ron Norris and John Norris; two daughters, Linda Norris, and Cindy Boyer and her husband, David; grandchildren, Lance, Lesa, Chad, Karri, Brennan, Jared, Matt, Josh, Sarah and Brenan N.; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 11, 2018 in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
