Obituary

Betty Louis (Henry) BeVier, 93, daughter of Opal Fern (Hays) and Sylvester Henry, peacefully passed away in Denver, Colorado on December 20, 2023.

Betty was born in Brightwater, Arkansas, but spend most of her childhood and adult life in Springfield.  She attended Central High School and later met her husband, Francis BeVier. She became the stepmother to two daughters, Laurie and Cindy and spent the rest of her life being a caring mother and grandmother to them and their children.

After her marriage to Francis, Betty became a lifelong lover of cats, dogs, and other animals. They eventually moved to Texas and she continued to take in and care for many stray animals over the years.

Betty also passed on her love of holidays - decorating the house, making special food, dressing up on Halloween.  She was a great hostess to family and friends.

Betty is survived by her stepdaughters, Laura BeVier Levorsen (Mark), Cindy BeVier Hodges, her step grandkids, Hannah BeVier Meyer (Logan), Drew BeVier Levorsen (Ali), her four great grandchildren – Callen, Brae, Lyla, and Josie, including many loving nieces and nephews and their families.

Visitation will be Friday, January 26, 2024, from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home with a service at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Burial will be in Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
