Betty Lou Anderson, age 90 of Springfield, MO. passed away on March 29, 2023. She was born March 25, 1933 in Topeka, KS. to Richard Andrew and Hazel Alpha (Swain) Veatch.  Betty grew up in Kansas City, MO. where she attended J.C. Nichols grade school and Southwest High School.  She later attended Drury College. After college she was employed by Thieme-Hunt Abstract Company owned by Ralph Hunt for nine years. She helped open a company field office for the continental insurance company.  She worked there for 17 years before retiring.

She was united in marriage to Elmer Lee Anderson, Jr. on December 6,1957 and they shared 57 years of marriage.  Much of their married life they traveled as much as possible and on Elmer's retirement they spent many winters in Port Arkansas, TX. and Hilton Head, SC.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents in 2000 one month apart and her husband on February 28, 2013. She is survived by her little friend "Mia" as well as her dearest friends Cynthia and Tim Ingwerson, Frank and Karen Cron and Denise, Josh Green and their families.

According to her wishes no service is planned. Cremation will follow with burial beside her husband in the National Cemetery. In leiu of flowers please remember her with your favorite charity.
