Bette Lee Black McClelland, 93, passed away on January 8, 2016 in Springfield Missouri.

She was born September 8, 1922 in Winston, MO, to Virgil and Erma Black who preceded her in death. Two sisters, Ilah Parman of El Paso, TX, and Martha Brown of Bellville, IL, also preceded her in death.

She graduated from Winston High School in May of 1940. October 17, 1947 she and Robert (Bob) McClelland were united in marriage at the First Baptist Church in Gallatin, MO. Bob died of a heart attack November 1, 2013 at the age of 88. To this union two sons were born; Michael, who died in April of 2000, and Jeff, who lives in Springfield, MO, with his wife Liz, and their two children, J.R. and Shannon. She is also survived by several nephews, nieces and their families. Bette and Bob attended the Presbyterian Church at Dunnegan, MO.

Cremation with inurnment will be held at a later date at Winston, MO. Cemetery.  No visitation or services are planned. Arrangements are under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel.
