Bette Rae Manary, 90, of Springfield, passed away Sept. 21, 2017. She was born October 5, 1926 to Lela Smith.

She graduated from Springfield High School where she was a Kiltie and attended Business College. She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for many years. She met and married the love of her life Joe Manary, to which they celebrated 52 years of marriage before his passing in 2000. She was a lifelong member of First and Calvary Presbyterian Church. Nothing brought Bette more joy in life than spending time with her family.

Bette was preceded in death by her mother and husband.

She is survived by her daughters Kathy Manary and Karen Latham, grandchildren Cassidi Manary, Caylin Manary and Carson Latham,  great-granddaughter Maila, and many other family and close friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be held on Monday, Sept. 25 at 11:00 am at Hazelwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rescue One, 3240 W. College, Springfield, MO 65802.
