Bette Jo Feagan, 89, of Springfield, MO passed away June 18, 2012 in her home surrounded by her family. She was born to Robert Bailey and Hattie Louise (Eoff) McManus in Paola, KS on September 5, 1922. She was a graduate of Forsyth High School and in Springfield since 1957, returning here from California. Bette married Wilbur S. Feagan on April 28, 1970. She was a member of the Rachel Donaldson Chapter of DAR, The Saturday Club, Antique Arts Group of S.M.M.A. and P.E.O. She was also a member of Christ Episcopal Church. Bette was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Robert B. McManus and his wife Beth. She is survived by husband, Wilbur; sons, Michael (Kay) Chase of Williamsburg, VA and Patrick (Becky) Chase of Carbondale, CO; sister, Mary Margaret Allen of Springfield, MO; grandchildren, Kelly Brian (Carolyn) Chase of Virginia Beach, VA and Curtis Travis (Megan) Chase of Alexandria, VA; and great-grandchildren, Travis, Alec and Bailey Chase. Memorial services will be held Friday, June 22, 2012 at 10 a.m. in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel with the Reverend Jonathan Frazier officiating. Visitation will follow the service. Interment will follow in Hazelwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Southwest Missouri Humane Society, 3161 W.
