IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Beth
Adams
August 23, 1949 – January 12, 2018
Frances Elizabeth Coale ("Beth") Adams was born on August 23, 1949, in Tucson, Arizona, to Richard T. Coale and Cledyth Hanks Coale. She was preceded in death by both of her parents, as well as her sister Deborah Coale Guthrie.
Beth moved to Missouri at the age of ten, attended school at Windyville, and was graduated from Buffalo High School in 1967. She married David Cruise in 1969, and together they had three children: Devon, Brett, and Melanie. Even though Beth and David were eventually divorced, they were able to work together to keep the family close.
Beth was graduated from paramedic school in 1987, from Burge School of Nursing in 1991, and from Southwest Baptist University in 1997 with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. She worked at Cox Hospitals from 1987 to 2011 in various fields: Emergency Medical Services, the Emergency Room, Air Care, the Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery, and the Wheeler Heart Institute. She spent most of her nursing career as a neonatal intensive care nurse.
Beth's happiest times were those she spent with her family. She married Neil Adams on March 17, 2000, and the two of them made their home and attended church together in Strafford, Missouri. Neil supported and cared for Beth and her children and family as his own.
Beth is survived by her loving husband and helpmeet, Neil, of the home; by her son Devon and his wife Jennifer and their children, Taylor and Bryon, and Bryon's wife Vicky; by her second son, Brett, and his daughters Megan, Natalie, and Bayleigh; and by her daughter, Melanie, and Melanie's husband Kyle and their children, Sophia and Atticus. Among Beth's greatest joys were her seven grandchildren.
She is also survived by her brother Denny and his wife Rosie; by her sister Anne, whose husband Jack is recently deceased; by her brothers Richard and Robert Coale; by her stepsisters Sally Ramirez and Kathy Brummett and Kathy's husband Wayne; by her stepbrother Steven Nelson; and by her sister-in-law Becki Gladson and Becki's husband Jack. In addition, she is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Beth obeyed the gospel at the age of nineteen at Rogersville, Missouri. Her wish is that we not be sad for her; that instead, we be happy and be ready to join her in heaven one day. She also wishes to thank all those who visited, sent cards, and prayed for her. She will be remembered for the joy she found in life and shared with us all: for her kindness, her tact, her abounding generosity, her graciousness, her hospitality, her sense of fun, and especially for her radiant smile. Beth passed from this earthly life on Friday, January 12, 2018.
