Beryl E. Burgess, 88, Springfield, MO, passed away at 1:08 pm, Saturday, January 19, 2019 in his home.

He was born August, 14, 1930, a lifelong resident of Springfield, the only child of Ralph Burgess and Iva Miller Burgess.

Beryl was employed by Southwestern Bell for over 40 years and a member of the Pioneers Club. Beryl loved Table Rock Lake and all it offered. He, his wife and three kids built his cabin over 55 years ago.  It was a place of peace and love.

Beryl was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, June Burgess; two children, Susan Burgess and Stephen Burgess and a son-in-law, Gayle Woods.

He is survived by daughter Patricia Woods; grandchildren, Jeff Burgess, Angela Woods and her partner, Greg Medcalf and Thomas Burgess; great-grandchildren, Ethan Mace and Benjamin Medcalf; sister-in-law Betty Marrs and niece Michele Cannon.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm, Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Private Burial will be in Hazelwood Cemetery at a later date.
