Berta Sabina Young, 94, of Springfield went to meet her Lord and Savior May 29, 2016. She was born May 6, 1922 in Ottobeuran, Germany. She was a member of Assemblies of God Church, and her German Ladies Group.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Theresa Karthan, her husband, Stefan Young, her brothers, Max Andreas and Alexander Karthan, and her grandson, Stephen Nicholas.

She is survived by her brothers, Joseph and Bernhard, her children, Joanna, Ursula and Ron, her grandchildren Corina, Michael, Ronald and Andrew.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday June 1, 2016 at Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. The visitation will begin at 1 p.m. until the time of the service and the burial will take place in Hazelwood Cemetary.
