Berta B. Williams, 95, died December 10, 2013 in Colorado Springs, CO. She was born on August 31, 1918 in Muskogee, OK to William C. and Mattie Lott Harrison. She was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Williams. A graduate of Oklahoma State and Webster University, Berta was an elementary school teacher in St. Louis, MO until retiring to Kimberling City, MO where she was a founding member of the Kimberling City Church of Christ and a member of the Table Rock Art Guild. Berta is survived by three daughters, Susan Morgan, Dr. Judith Shields, and Barbara Mercer, six grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was a talented elementary school teacher, Bible school teacher, watercolorist, loving mother, caring grandmother and friend to many. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 18 at 10:00 at the Springfield National Cemetery, with a memorial service to follow at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home at 2:00.
