Bernice M. Stone was born in Colon, Nebraska on September 15, 1933 and died Monday April 17, 2023. Bernice was a resident of Ozark, Missouri, as a retiree. Her family moved to the Ozarks, from Nebraska, in the Mid-1930s. Bernice attended Marshfield Public Schools and graduated from Marshfield High School in 1950.

She was preceded in death by her husband Donald. J. Stone.

She is survived by her sons: Joseph (Chris) Stone, Lincoln, Nebraska and Jeffrey Stone (Annie), Springfield, Missouri; grandsons: Peter Stone, Lincoln, Nebraska, and Michael Stone, Prairie Village, Kansas.

Bernice was a devoted Wife, Mother, and Grandmother. She provided unwavering love, and support of her husband, Donald Stone, an Executive of ConAgra Foods. Bernice will always be remembered for her positive attitude, welcoming smile, and her care and concern for others. Bernice was active in her Church, Saint Joseph the Worker, Ozark, Missouri.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 5, 2023 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. with a rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 6, 2023 in St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Marshfield City Cemetery.
