Bernice Blue, 85, of Springfield, MO passed away on Monday, November 18, 2013 in her home. She was born August 18, 1928 to John A. and Lola (Ramey) Frost near Yardelle, AR. Her family moved to Springfield while she was in the 3rd grade. She graduated Valedictorian of the class of 1947 at Springfield Senior High School and attended Business College in Kansas City, MO. She retired from Frisco RR in 1991 after 40 plus years. She was a member of South Haven Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Bernice was preceded in death by her son, Jon Paul Blue. She is survived by her husband, Paul, whom she married in 1954; daughters, Becky (John) Forrester, Springfield, MO and Vicki (Joel) Schreiner, Ankeny, IA; daughter-in-law, Geneva Blue, Monett, MO; and six grandchildren, Ryan (Megan) Forrester, Bethany Blue Forrester, Caleb Blue, Nick Schreiner, Jacob Schreiner, and Nathan Schreiner. Funeral Services will be Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 10:00am in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Burial will follow in Richwood Cemetery near Ozark. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22, 2013 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Kitchen, 1630 N.
