Becky Lynn (Kassner) Kolb, departed this life on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 after a sudden illness, surrounded by her family, at the age of 69. She was born December 27, 1950, to Edmund and Carolyn (Somogyi) Kassner, who along with her brother, Ron Kassner and sister, Sheree Vance, proceeded her in death. Becky married the love of her life Marvin E. Kolb, on October 1,1987, and spent 31 years with her soulmate prior to his death in 2018. Becky was a registered nurse, graduating in 1984 from MSSU, Joplin, MO. She spent 34 years selflessly taking care of others, working on the heart team, several Psychology/Substance Abuse units, and finishing her career at a pain management clinic in Springfield, MO. Becky and her husband had a passion for helping people struggling with addiction and working in recovery. She continued her passion until the day she went to be with the Lord, volunteering with hospice Alzheimer's patients.  Becky is survived by three children, Christy Denney & husband Leroy, Josh Hendry & wife Nikki, and Whitney Kolb; seven grandchildren: Meaghan Lundien, Jonathan Pena, Faith Reynolds, Madison Riddle, Mikel Alvis, Teg Alvis, and Duke Alvis; as well as six great-grandchildren, whom were the lights of her life, along with her precious Cotton dog. Memorial services will be held 10:00 am Thursday, July 23, 2020 at East Sunshine Church of Christ, as well as being broadcast on the church's website due to current circumstances, to keep those especially vulnerable safe. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Becky Kolb Memorial Fund, at the church, or Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home to benefit those in recovery.
