Basil E. "Chris" Buterbaugh was born April 1, 1926 and passed away Dec 1, 2013. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jewell Buterbaugh Bell, father Basil Buterbaugh, and step-father Fletcher Bell. He is survived by his wife Jonina, three sons and their wives, Phil and Carolyn Kelley, Keith and Jana, Mark and Susan, one granddaughter and five grandsons, his brother Richard and wife Jo Ann. Chris worked 34 years in the civil engineering department of the Frisco and Burlington Northern railroads. He was a member of Schweitzer United Methodist Church, and had been active in Boy Scouts, Missouri Society of Professional Engineers, and Downtown Kiwanis. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at 11:00 am at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to Schweitzer United Methodist Church or the scholarship fund of Missouri Society of Professional Engineers.
