Dr. Barbara Wing passed away unexpectedly on October 1, 2015. She was 64 years old. Barbara graduated from the University of Kansas with a PHD in Microbiology and Immunology. She was a Professor of Biology at Drury University. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Mary Wing. She is survived by her sisters, Kathy Hannah, Becky Wing, Beth (Sheridan) Bohon, niece Heather (Aric) Buchta, great niece and nephew Eleanor and Aaron Buchta. She is also survived by her loving pets, Sadie, Sabrina, Molly, and Muffin as well as many good and faithful friends. A memorial service will be held at Stone Chapel, Drury University, Springfield, MO on Friday, October 9, 2015 at 3:00 pm. The family will be available to greet Barbara's friends in Stone Chapel two hours prior to the service. Private interment will take place in Kansas City at a later date.
