Barbara Marie Wilson, 84, of Springfield, Missouri passed away at 6:14 p.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at her home. She was born March 16, 1927 in Bridgeport, Connecticut to Joseph and Helen Wishneski. Barbara married Robert W. Wilson on December 27, 1952. He precedes her in death. Barbara retired from UCI Medical Center in Orange, California. Barbara was a devoted member of the Catholic faith, and served in the Altar and Rosary Society while in California. She was also a Certified Eucharistic Minister and was a member of the CCW Society. Barbara also loved baking, and cooked for many church functions. Barbara enjoyed flowers and gardening, and the company of her favorite cat, Gus. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, December 15, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Father Fergus Mognahan, as Celebrant. A Prayer Service will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at 7:15 p.m. at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield.
