Barbara Logan Weems, 85, of Springfield went to be with the Lord on May 22, 2013. Barbara was born September 24, 1927 in Springfield, MO to Harry and Bertha Savage Logan and was the first of three daughters. Barbara was a homemaker and resided most of her life in Aurora, Mo where she raised her family of four children. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Aurora. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Jane Lee Tucker and Jo Ann Hobart. Barbara is survived by her four children: Tom Weems of Simi Valley, CA; Jane Ann and husband Phil Stocker, Nancy Clapper and Robert Weems, all of Springfield; 7 granddaughters and 11 great-grandchildren. Barbara's family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Mercy Villa for all the love and care extended to her during her stay. Graveside services will be held at 2:30pm Tuesday, May 28, 2013 in Marionville IOOF Cemetery with Chaplain Anne Payette officiating under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. No formal visitation is planned however friends may call after 1:00pm Monday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association.
