Barbara Ann Morgan, 60, Springfield, Missouri passed away at 12:57 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2009 in St. John's. She was born in Caldwell, Idaho on August 18, 1948, the daughter of Harold and Bessie (Perryman) Ledbetter. She grew up in Missouri and Oklahoma. She married Charles "Fred" Morgan on September 18, 1969 in Cardin, Oklahoma and moved shortly after to Springfield, Missouri and has resided there ever since. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Bessie Ledbetter; sisters, Violet Ledbetter and Sharon Springer. Barbara is survived by her husband, Charles "Fred" Morgan, of the home; a son, Brent Darrin Morgan, Springfield; a sister, Janice Ledbetter, Springfield; and nephews, Kelley, Mark and Wayne. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 8, 2009 in Missouri Veterans Cemetery with the Reverend W. D. Wartenbee officiating under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
