Barbara Jackson, age 92 of Springfield, MO passed away at 2:46 a.m. Wednesday, May 3, 2017 in Marantha Village.

She was born in Billings, MO to Albert and Minnie Rauch and raised in Stone County.  August 24, 1962, she married James W. Jackson, one year and six days later, Cathy, their daughter, was born.

Barbara was an avid gardener, who loved gospel singing and was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband James; sisters Dorthea Robbins, Julia Johnson and Maria Schaefer; brothers Leonard Rauch and George Finley.

Barbara is survived by daughter Cathy Murray; grandchildren Sam Murray and wife Chelsea, Nicole Taylor and husband Dylan; great-grandchild Bentley; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday May 10, 2017 at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home with the Rev. Dean Finley officiating.  Burial will follow in Hazelwood Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 6 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday May 9, 2017 in the funeral home.
