Barbara Jean Bennett, 92 of Springfield passed away Sunday, September 8, 2024.  She was born in Carroll County, Missouri to Andrew and Ruby Saunders on October 4, 1931.

She was a long-time member of High Street Baptist Church, a member of the Abou Ben Adhem Shrine Ladies Auxiliary and Eastern Star.  She was also a long-time employee of Rey Co Industries.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert "Bob" Bennett, six siblings and a son-in-law, Robert Cameron.

Barbara is survived by two sons, Don Bennett and wife, Diane, and Jim Bennett; a daughter, Janice Cameron; six grandchildren, Josh, Sarah, Ryan, Erik, Erin and Justin; and five great-grandchildren, Austin, Chloe, Cameron, Collin and Benjamin.

Funeral services will be Friday, September 13, 2024 at 11:00 AM in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home with the Reverend Eddie Lyons, officiating.  Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery.   Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11 AM Friday in the funeral home.
