Arthel started playing sports at a young age, he was never pictured without a ball in his hands. At 4 he began flag football at the YMCA. While playing flag football he would tackle his opponent, take their flag and say, "Mommy when can I play real football?" Arthel attended Weller/Bingham Elementary where he played Mighty Mites football, baseball for The Boys and Girls Club, BSNF-Hoopsters basketball team led by Ernie Bedell, Garland Thomas and Nate Adams and started his journey with OFL football. Arthel learned to play offensive and defensive football only because Mighty Mites said he couldn't play unless he played offense, due to him sending kids off the field for athlete injuries and parental complaints. May 4th, 2008, Arthel was baptized by Dr. Maurice Tate PHD at Washington Ave Baptist Church in Springfield, MO where he attended with his Aunt Tonia Greenhill. He went on to attend Pipkin Middle School where he also played basketball and football. At the age of 13, Arthel met the mother of his daughters; Ashtyn Paige Vaughns. They continued their relationship through High School up to graduation and spent a total of 11 years together. They had two beautiful daughters together: Anyjah ReAnna ElizaBeth Harris and Aulani Carter Paige Harris. They were a very known couple and each other's first love. Arthel then attended Central High School where he graduated in 2016. He played basketball freshmen year and decided to focus solely on football. Arthel also took Central to state and led the entire state with defensive tackle. During the rest of his high school years, he played offensive and defensive football. Arthel's mother never missed a game and brother Cam always cheered him on. His senior year he received the award for Springfields Quarterback Club Outstanding Senior Award, amongst his several other acclimates.
