Antonia "Toni" Wieland was born on September 1, 1942, at Springfield Baptist Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, to Guy and Bellina Hickman. Toni was blessed with an older sister, Marilyn, whom she absolutely adored. Toni grew up in Springfield, attended local elementary schools and Elfindale School for seventh and eighth grades, and was a member of the first class to attend all four years at Parkview High School, graduating in 1960. She continued her education at Drury College, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1964.

While attending Drury, Toni met the love of her life, David Wieland. They were married in 1964 at John Connally Air Force Base in Waco, Texas, where David was attending Officer Training School. During David's service as a B-52 navigator in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, the couple was stationed in California and Texas while he completed three overseas temporary duty assignments.

Following David's military service, they made their home in California, living in Riverside for seven years and Davis for the next twenty years. There they lovingly raised their three children: Julie, Margie, and Matt.

In 1993, Toni and David returned to Missouri to care for their parents. They purchased a farm near Seymour, where they embraced country life, developed treasured friendships within the Amish community, and became active members of Seymour Methodist Church. Their farm remained home until 2020, when they moved to Springfield.

Toni will be remembered for her unwavering faith, deep love for her family, joyful optimism, enthusiasm for life, generous spirit, and steadfast commitment to others. She was a gifted storyteller, a devoted prayer warrior, and truly an angel on earth. She found great joy in traveling and experienced many adventures throughout her life, from frequent journeys to visit family in New York, a childhood trip to Europe and adventures with her cousin, mother and son to China, and Thailand. She also loved spending time at the lake, backpacking, gardening, reading, cooking for family gatherings, and faithfully beginning each day with Bible study and journaling. Her legacy is one of love, faith, service, and kindness.

Toni is survived by her children: Julie (Ken) Bolls of Rogersville, Missouri; Margie (Joel) Stewart of Springfield, Missouri; and Matt Wieland of Davis, California, and his fiancée, Kirsten Livingston. She is also survived by her former daughter-in-law, Nicole Wieland; her grandchildren, Maggie (Sam) Moore, Tommy Bolls, Emily Bolls (fiancé Richard Boyer), and Joe Wieland; her great-grandchildren, Hunter, Tori, and Charlie Moore; her sister, Marilyn McDonald; her sister-in-law, Linda (Dan) Bunch; and many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Wieland; her parents, Guy and Bellina Hickman; her parents-in-law, Howard and Blanche Wieland; her brother-in-law, Kenny Wieland, and her cherished granddaughter, Katie Bolls.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
