Obituary

Anthony James Polise, age 82, died Tuesday, February 13, 2019 at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.  Toney was born in Roseland, Illinois to James and Rose Polise and is survived by Loretta Vigansky Polise, his loving wife of 53 years, brother Frank and his wife Jeanine Polise and their children Frank Jr., Gina Klingelhofer, Amy Owens and their families, and brother James (Jimmy) Polise.   Also survived by nephews  Alan Zinke, Andrew Zinke, and niece Alane (Zinke) Fisher and their families.  Toney enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, golfing and more golfing.  He was a lifetime member of the PGA  and had a documented "hole in one."  Toney is now playing the ultimate course with his Lord and Savior.

Toney served in the U.S. Army from 1956-1958 with a rank of SP3, sharpshooter at Fort Sheridan, IL.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 am on February 20, 2019 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Nixa, MO with Pastor Koenig officiating, under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 5201 S. Southwood Road, Springfield, MO. 65804 at noon.
