February 18, 1960, Columbus, Ohio –March 29, 2026, Springfield, MO
Anthony “Brian” Butler, 66, of Springfield, MO, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026 surrounded by his family. He was born on February 18, 1960 to Earl J. and Mary Ann (Wolff) Butler in Columbus, Ohio.
Brian was a Springfield Boys and Girls Club Alumni and the 1974 Boy of the Year recipient. Brian was a graduate of Hillcrest High School, Class of 1978, and a graduate of Missouri State University with a Bachelors of History. Brian was an aspiring writer, avid movie lover, and enjoyed sports, especially the St. Louis Cardinals and the Kansas City Chiefs. Brian worked many positions to include Chef at a few local restaurants.
Brian is preceded in death by his parents, Earl “Joe” Butler and Mary Ann Wolff both of Springfield, MO.
Brian is survived by his daughter Katherine of Little Rock Arkansas, brothers Chris and his wife Susi of Acworth, GA, Dennis Butler, Idaho Falls, ID, Greg and his wife Katie of Columbia, MO, and sister, Holly Butler of Springfield MO. Brian has several nieces and nephews to include Matthew, Ryan, Brittany, Haylie, Kylie, Jessa and Alex Butler.
A celebration of life will be held on May 16th at the Musgrave Boys and Girls Club located at 720 S. Park, Springfield, MO from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
