Anne Squires Routt, age 90 of Springfield, MO passed away Sunday, August 14, 2011 at 1:45 p.m. She was born in Springfield, Missouri on March 27, 1921 to A.D. and Lois Squires, who preceded her in death. She graduated from Mercedes High School in Mercedes, Texas in May, 1939. She graduated from the University of Texas-Austin in 1943. She was a member of the Curtain Club and a student assistant in the drama department. She married James Allen Routt on October 12, 1946 at the home of her parents. Allen preceded her in death on April 30, 2011. Anne loved playing bridge with her many wonderful friends for over 60 years. In 1949, she and Allen were founding members of National Avenue Christian Church. They were charter members of Twin Oaks Country Club. She is survived by her daughter Katy Anne Curtis (Sid); grandchildren Melissa Curtis Miller (Chad) and Allen Curtis (Beverly); and three great-grandchildren, Rebekah A. Miller, Joshua C. Miller, and Olivia Ann Curtis. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, and friends. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 15, 2011 at Hazelwood Cemetery with the Reverend Laura Fregin officiating, under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. The visitation will be held Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to National Avenue Christian Church Outreach Program, 1515 S.
