Anne Carolyn Gonten

Anne Carolyn Gonten, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on January 31, 1945, in Springfield, Missouri, to Paul and Dorothy Anne Rittershouse.

Anne will be lovingly remembered for the devotion she had to her family, the kindness and strength she carried throughout her life, and the compassion she showed to everyone around her. She found great joy in traveling, reading, and quilting, passions that brought beauty and happiness to her life. Anne leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, warmth, and treasured memories that will live on through her family for generations to come.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Schultz and husband Ronald Schultz; her son, David Gonten; her granddaughter, Marisa Foltz and husband Zachariah Foltz; her great-grandchildren, Axel and Zoey Foltz; and her two purr babies, Charlie and Waldo.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Paul and Dorothy Rittershouse; her brother, Bill Rittershouse; and her sister, Becky Randolph.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation is Friday, May 15th from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, and the funeral is Saturday, May 16th at 3:00 p.m. at the same location. In lieu of flowers, Anne had requested that all donations be made to Watching Over Whiskers.
