Anna "Ruth" (Mitchell) Webb, born May 4th, 1923, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away April 25, 2012. She went in peace surrounded by her twin daughters, Glenda Rae Wheeler and Linda Kay Hinds. She was born in Seligman, MO to the late Jim and Bessie Mitchell. She was preceded in death by her husband Henry Webb, brothers Hugh Mitchell, Carl Mitchell and sister Ada Francis. She was very close to her family and is survived by daughter Glenda Wheeler and husband Stephen, daughter Linda Hinds and husband John; four grandchildren and spouses, Melinda & Tim Spurgeon, David Hinds, Laura & Doug Shivers, Mary & Paul Potthoff, and Mary Jo Edgerton; eight great grandchildren, Ty & Taylor Rae Spurgeon, Dallas & Madisyn Hinds, Jeremy & Brooke Shivers, Abby Shivers, Katie & Matt Roussell and Rebecca Shivers; two great, great grandchildren Gage & Faith Shivers; sister Mary Sue Pitts and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Ruth was an active member for over 55 years of Macedonia Baptist Church and was passionate about making pies, breads, and cookies to share with her many friends. She recently made 600 cinnamon rolls for a church breakfast. She is lovingly remembered by many for her humor and wit. Her little "Lucky Boy" dog will miss her. The family wishes to thank the nurses, doctors, and staff with Mercy Hospital for their tender and compassionate care. Visitation will be at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home Friday, April 27, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Graveside services will be at White Chapel Cemetery at 11:00 am on Saturday April 28, 2012.
